Pink Fused Aluminum Oxide – Made in China

Pink Fused Alumina is produced by adding a small amount of chromium oxide, which gives it a pink color. Its manufacturing process is similar to that of White Fused Alumina, and it does not offer a significant performance advantage over white alumina. However, the pink color helps mask iron oxide stains on grinding wheels, making it visually advantageous in abrasive applications.
Typically, Pink Alumina powders containing less than 2% Cr₂O₃ are preferred for manufacturing abrasives, as the addition of chromium oxide increases the hardness of the material.
Pink Aluminum Oxide is used in the abrasive industry, particularly for grinding tools and the production of mounted points.
